SaintyCo cleanroom flooring systems are used in diverse industries including pharmaceutical, biotech, medical, cosmetics, food, and electronics. They’re suitable for all ends of the spectrum, from small research facilities to sprawling factories making everything from semiconductors to sleeping pills.

Applications Of A Clean Room Floor

What Is A Clean Room Floor?

Clean room floors, also commonly written as cleanroom floors, are flooring systems used in laboratories, biotech facilities, manufacturing plants, and other controlled environments.

At SaintyCo, we fabricate a wide selection of clean room floors that minimize particle contamination to improve air cleanliness, helping to maintain sterile conditions. Aside from hygiene, our durable clean room floors withstand regular use of chemical solvents and disinfectants for cleaning. They have seamless and anti-slip surfaces to keep workers safe, and are strong enough to support heavy equipment, like pharmaceutical machinery.

Ultimately, SaintyCo clean room floors help you meet GMP and ISO14644-1 standards by possessing cleanroom-compliant qualities like antimicrobial protection, moisture-resistance, and ESD properties.

Types Of Clean Room Floor

We’ve expanded our collection of floors to include almost any cleanroom solution imaginable. These are just some of our most ordered product categories, but if you have a custom request, we’re usually able to accommodate. Just send us your details and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

Clean Room Flooring Process

Most of our cleanroom floors are resin-based, with a few exceptions like rubber and raised access flooring. Here’s a look at the typical process for installing a SaintyCo clean room floor.

Substrate Assessment
Substrate Assessment

Before our flooring can be installed, the area’s substrate must be evaluated for integrity, as moisture or cracks could lead to delamination.

Surface Preparation
Surface Preparation

To create a clean surface with the right profile, use mechanical grinding or shot blasting before applying primers to ensure a strong bond to the base layer.

Resin Application
Resin Application

SaintyCo resins, like epoxy, MMA, or polyurethane, are mixed and applied on-site. This creates a smooth, level base tailored to your cleanroom class and usage.

Coatings
Coatings

Optional topcoats are added to improve the floor’s properties, like anti-static, antimicrobial, chemical-resistant, or anti-slip. Thickness and color may also be adjusted.

Curing And Inspection

When you purchase clean room floors from SaintyCo, you’re getting access to industry-leading after-sales service. Our dedicated technicians and support teams can help with anything from maintenance and cleaning queries to replacements and repairs.

And the best bit? There’s no expiration date on our after-sales service. Here at SaintyCo, we value long-term relationships with our clients. So, even if you need assistance years after purchasing a SaintyCo clean room floor, we’re here to help.

  • “We urgently needed a new cleanroom floor system for our sterile compounding facility. The problem was that it needed to handle constant cleaning with hydrogen peroxide vapor. And most suppliers didn’t want to guarantee long term durability in that case. SaintyCo were amazing and worked with us to spec a high grade epoxy system that works perfectly. It’s been something like 20 months now and the floor still looks brand new, no flaking or anything.”

    Priya Sharma
    Project Lead, CosmoProl
  • “We had a total nightmare with the last resin floor where it kept cracking at the joints… every time we moved a machine we needed to redo half the section. The supplier was no use at all, so we decided to cut our losses and invest in a whole new cleanroom floor with a new supplier, which is how we found SaintyCo. We switched to a raised system and it’s honestly changed everything. We reconfigured 2 rooms and I would never go back, in fact we probably should have done it sooner.”

    Marv Lanister
Director of Engineering, Medev Supplies Ltd
Where can I find the prices per square meter?

The prices vary depending on the type of floor you want, the shipping costs, and optional extras like special coatings or surface finishes. So that we can give you an accurate quote, please send us your details using the online inquiry form, and we’ll aim to get back to you within 24 hours.

What if I want to switch the floor type of my clean room?

That’s entirely possible. However, it depends on the existing substrate and your cleanroom classification. For example, epoxy or PU clean room floors can be applied over an old surface (with the right preparation). Other floor types may require the old floor to be removed.

Can I use multiple types of flooring in a cleanroom?

Yes, and many of our clients do. It’s quite common to see different cleanroom flooring types in different zones throughout a single facility. For example, you might have MMA in an area with chemical exposure while raised panels cover an area near utilities for easy access. We can help you design the perfect layout.

Maintenance And Repair

At SaintyCo, we understand you need a cleanroom floor that lasts. So, our products offer excellent durability even under challenging industrial heavy-duty conditions.

In these settings, accidents, spills, and damage are inevitable. Common repairs include scratch removal (often from moving machinery or equipment), decontamination after chemical spills, anti-slip regrading, and localized anti-static retreatment reapplication. We offer maintenance kits for all your needs, from resin touch-ups to joint resealing. We also provide full technical documentation for reapplying topcoats.

Our resin-based systems are designed for seamless patching. Sanding and recoating can be done is as little as 2-4 hours depending on the material. Raised floor panels can be changed without any disruption to surrounding panels.

If you need extra help with repairs or maintenance, our technical team is available for over-the-phone support. We can answer questions about compatible chemicals, floor finishes, and timings—even years after installation. It’s all part of the award-winning after-sales service we’re known for.

Clean Room Floor Use Cases

We work with clients across multiple industries, providing tailored cleanroom floor solutions from simple product orders to comprehensive turnkey services. These are some examples of projects, applications and use cases we’ve been involved in over the years:

  • Pharmaceutical production: chemical-resistant floors that prevent microbial growth, like epoxy or PU with radius coving, ISO 5-7 cleanrooms, suitable for cleaning cycles using alcohol-based disinfectants, paracetic acid, and hydrogen peroxide vapors.
  • Biotech: cell therapy labs, extremely low particle shedding floors compatible with sporicidal cleaning agents, BSL-rated labs, R&D suites, and microbiology units.
  • Medical device manufacturing: cleanrooms for assembly and packaging of Class I–III devices
  • Cosmetics: cleanroom floors for makeup and personal care production lines, mixing and filling areas.
  • Food: hygiene-critical areas, HACCP-compliant floors resistant to organic acids with drainage for easy washdown, meeting food-grade standards

  • Aerospace and optics: non-glare cleanroom floors for satellite assembly and lens production environments
What’s the best cleanroom floor for pharmaceutical manufacturing?

There’s no straight answer without knowing your exact requirements, but epoxy and polyurethane are the most common for pharmaceutical settings. For tailored advice, contact us directly.

I want an ISO 5 cleanroom, what are my options?

This means flooring must be non-shedding, smooth, and easy to clean. We’d generally recommend something like high-performance epoxy or MMA with coving and integral wall upturns, combined with anti-static or antimicrobial additives. But it depends on your needs.

Do you offer anti-vibration cleanroom floors?

Yes, our vibration-dampening floors are popular for microelectronics, metrology, and precision pharma labs. They include raised panels with vibration absorbing pads or multi layer resin systems.

How are your cleanroom floors shipped?

Modular floors are shipped as prefabricated kits with labeled components for easy installation. Resin systems come in sealed drums with full documentation and instructions. If required, we can provide on-site support, just ask!
