Purified Water System Applications
ere at SaintyCo, our systems provide pharma-grade purified water in research and manufacturing facilities for product formulation, equipment cleaning, and more. We serve the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, personal care, nutraceutical, food and beverage, chemical, and biotechnology industries, among others.

What Is A Purified Water System?
A purified water system is a water treatment solution that removes various contaminants and compounds to produce extremely high-purity water. It’s an essential piece of kit for manufacturing environments, research laboratories, and cleanrooms. Without it, particles in the water could cause pipe blockages, damage machinery, and make final products unsafe at worst, or at best, unstable.
At SaintyCo, we’ve engineered an array of purifying water systems to clean water of particulates, bacteria, organics, pyrogens, and ions. Our systems are designed to produce, store, and distribute water that complies with global pharmacopeia standards. The pure water is used for things like washing product containers, rinsing equipment, feeding water for injection (WFI) systems, and the general preparation and formulation of apyrogenic and sterile medicines.
Types Of Purified Water Systems
We offer a wide range of advanced water purification technologies that can be combined to suit every possible use case and desired result.

Uses semi-permeable membranes to remove dissolved salts and minerals.

Our chemical-free processing system is suitable for continuous purification.

Ion-exchange resins remove cations, like calcium and sodium, and anions, like chloride and sulfate.

Targets particles with a high molecular weight (like bacteria and endotoxins) post-RO or EDI.

Our thermal desalination units with multiple boiling stages are commonly used for WFI.

Uses 185/254 nm UV lamps to kill microbes and degrade trace organics without chemicals.

Energy-efficient mechanical compression, ideal for high-capacity setups.

Our two-stage RO systems improve water quality, conductivity, and microbial control.

The first processing stage involves components like filters to remove sediment and particles, plus softeners and dosing systems, depending on raw water quality.

For post-RO polishing, most SaintyCo systems use electrodeionization units, which are ideal for producing USP-grade water without using chemicals.

Our units maintain water purity in a continuous loop piping system with sanitary-grade storage tanks and flow and pressure control valves.

At the main stage, reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, or nanofiltration systems remove dissolved solids, ions, and microbial contaminants.

For biological safety, our systems include UV sterilizers to destroy bacteria and viruses, submicron filters, optional ozonation units, and heat or chemical sanitization.

SCADA or PLC panels display and log live data from temperature and flow sensors, TOC analyzers, and conductivity and resistivity meters (with remote monitoring).

Best-Selling Purified Water Systems
SaintyCo purified water systems are some of the top-performing products on the market today. For more information about specific models, please reach out to our knowledgable support team.

Our ZLD systems are designed to reduce wastewater by treating it to remove impurities, then recycling it to be reused. It’s an essential process for modern manufacturing companies adhering to environmental standards.

Our CIP water purification skid combines a purified water loop with an automated CIP process. It uses hot water for sterilizing and cleaning tanks, piping, and process lines without dismantling the equipment.

We offer water purification systems with dedicated storage tanks (typically stainless steel or HDPE), ideal for situations where demand fluctuates. Or, where purified water must be available immediately on startup.

SaintyCo self-cleaning systems are ideal for modules positioned in remote or hard-to-reach areas. They use backwashing, flushing, and automated cleaning cycles to reduce fouling and save time-consuming manual intervention.
Integrated And Portable Models
Whether you need a purified water system ready for flexible deployment or permanent integration, SaintyCo has standard and custom solutions to align with your application.
Work with our engineers to develop a fixed purified water system for your unique processing line. Our permanent installations integrate with pre-defined manufacturing setups. Typically, these systems give you higher flow rates and support more complex configurations like multi-stage filtration and hot water sanitization.
We offer several types of mobile water purification systems, mounted on skids or trolleys to make them portable around the warehouse, lab, or factory floor. They’re ideal for pilot plants, utility upgrades, or backup during main equipment maintenance periods. They are ready to use with minimal installation time.

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a technique of filtering water through a semi-permeable membrane to remove most dissolved solids. Deionization (DI) uses ion exchange to remove charged ions after RO which gives a higher purity. Water for injection (WFI) must be further distilled of vapor compressed to be acceptable for parenteral use.
Purified water (PW) and water for injection (WFI) are produced using different methods. SaintyCo has systems that will achieve both outcomes, in separate units. PW is generally made via RO + EDI whereas WF needs multi-effect distillation or vapor compression to meet global standards.
There are many factors at play here, including the initial water quality and how heavily the system is used. As a guidelines, pre-filters may need changing around 3-6 months, RO membranes every 1-2 years, UV lamps annually, and EDI modules every 3-5 years. Our units include monitoring tools to alert you.

- AAMI ST108: For sterile processing and medical device reprocessing
- HPLC-grade: Extremely low TOC (<10 ppb), <1 µS/cm, and <1 cfu/mL
Whatever your use case, SaintyCo has an appropriate system that’s audit-ready.
Distribution Loop And Return Flow
We’ve engineered high-efficiency loops that maintain flow velocity, minimize dead legs and prevent microbial buildup. Our design principles include constant recirculation at ≥1.5 m/s. This prevents stagnation. Sloped piping makes sanitization easier and enables full draining. To further reduce spots where microbes could fester, our systems have zero dead leg valves and use orbital welded joints, so the inside surface is smooth and free of crevices. We also offer double piping systems and balanced return pressure using VFD pumps and automated balancing valves. Our various loop designs cover both hot or ambient systems.
Yes, we manufacture PW systems for ot water sanitization, generally around 80 to 85°C. Some of our models are compatible with other protocols like chemical sanitization, so if you have a custom request please let us know.
