Sachet Packaging Machine Applications
SaintyCo sachet packaging machines cater to a wide range of industries, most often for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetics, and food applications. They’re an essential part of production lines, with use cases ranging from antibacterial gel to electrolyte sachets, sample-sized face serums, instant noodle seasoning blends, and more.

What Is A Sachet Packaging Machine?
SaintyCo sachet packaging machines are the ultimate solution for small-dose packaging. You can use them to produce highly customized sachets of unique shapes, with or without branding, filled to micrometer-specific dosage parameters.
Our sachet packaging machines are categorized as form-fill-seal systems. They produces small, sealed pouches (a.k.a. sachets) from a roll of packaging film made from various flexible materials. After forming the sachet, the machine fills it with product—powder, granules or in some cases, liquid, paste, or gel. Finally, it seals the sachet by applying heat and pressure, before discharging it ready for further processing.
In a production line, our sachet packaging machines may be integrated with upstream equipment like a feeding system that leads from a granulator, vacuum emulsifying mixer, or powder mixing machine. Downstream stations might include quality control, sorting systems, labeling modules, or a cartoning machine.

Sachet Packaging Machine: Key Stages
Our sachet packaging machines can be broken down into multiple modules. Here’s a look at the main elements of the workflow.

The first step involves unwinding the rollstock and feeding it through the system. It’s tensioned on multiple rollers to keep it taught and reduce wrinkles or jams.

The flat foil is manipulated by a forming collar or tube which begins to fold it, depending on your chosen sachet shape and size. This stage also allows for lane-based formatting.

At this important stage, our machines seal the sachets using heated sealing methods like jaws or plates, or ultrasonic cold sealing technology for enhanced integrity.

Optional photoelectric sensors can detect artwork to ensure it’s aligned with each sachet. Batch numbers, expiry dates, and other information can be printed.

We offer highly adaptable dosing systems that dispense product by weight or volume. You can adjust the fill parameters for each individual lane.

Sachets exit the system via a conveyor or chute, with optional rejection systems to separate any units that are underweight, misaligned, or improperly sealed.
Sachet Shape Compatibility
SaintyCo machines are compatible with various sachet sizes, shapes and configurations. The most common is a single standard (rectangular) sachet, but you can also fill double, triple, and multiple sachets side-by-side, in a vertical strip, or as a panel. Our systems also support round sachets, custom-shaped sachets, and sachets within a bag.

Supported Sachet Materials
Our sachet packaging machines are compatible with flexible plastic films like polypropylene and polyethylene, as well as laminates like PAP-PE, PAP-ALU-PE, PET-ALU-PE, and other standard heat-sealable composite films. If you’re looking for a more eco-friendly packaging option, our setups can also be adjusted to work with paper, sustainable polymers, and bio materials.

Yes, we manufacture sachet packaging machines specifically for cleanroom environments, from ISO 4-8. These systems have the highest levels of hygiene and specialized features to ensure they comply with regimented industry, international, and regional standards.
The most simple way to increase the production capacity of a sachet packaging machine is the up the number of lanes. For example, if you are currently running a 4-lane machine, you could potentially double the output by increasing it to an 8-lane system.
Other Production Line Machinery
Powder Filling LineAs an alternative or complementary system, fill bottles, capsules, and more.
Granulation LinePrior to filling sachets, this upstream line creates granules.
Vacuum Emulsifying MixerMix and homogenize formulations for filling into sachets, like shampoo or cream.
Pharmaceutical Roller CompactorSachet packaging machines are often found downstream of this granulator.
Dosing And Filling Technology
At SaintyCo, we have many options for dosing and filling. Our sachet packaging machines support auger fillers for free-flowing and semi-free-flowing powders, like milk powder, or dry pharmaceuticals. This volumetric control method is idea for cleanroom use and integrates well with dust extraction systems.
Another type of volumetric filler is our oscillating cup technology, also known as basculating systems. They’re best for granulated products like instant coffee and work well for mid-speed lines.
For viscous and semi-liquid products like gels, creams, and sauces, we usually recommend piston pump systems. You can adjust the stroke volume for different sachet sizes. In pharmaceutical settings when handling APIs and HPAPIs, where it’s critical to reduce contamination risk, our peristaltic pumps are the preferred choice.
We also offer gravimetric systems for weight-based dosing. Mass flow and Coriolis flowmeters are available which are especially useful for solvents, suspensions, or low viscosity syrups.
Sealing And Cutting Systems
The ability to customize your product is essential for improving its quality and tailoring it to the consumer. So, we give you a variety of ways to seal and cut your sachets for maximum user convenience.
Impulse and constant sealing are the standard hot sealing systems used in our sachet packaging machines, while ultrasonic (cold) sealing is another option for heat-sensitive products, multilayer films, or cleanroom environments where thermal degradation and particle emission could be a factor.
For cutting options, our machines can produce strip seal or diamond seal patterns, with zig zag or straight cut edges. Our machines support easy opening features, too, like easy tear notches, laser scoring, easy peel films, premade opening lines, and perforations.
